STURGEON TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and several area volunteer fire departments responded to a house fire on Monday afternoon.
The fire was in the 10000 block of the Heino Road in rural Sturgeon Township.
When crews arrived the house was fully engulfed in fire and the homeowner was attempting to rescue family pets.
Two dogs and a cat perished in the fire and the home was deemed a total loss.
The Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the family that was displaced.
